Linnea Pavilion
A cultural centre on Oslo's waterfront that reads as a single cast form — poured concrete walls that fold from landscape to roof plane without a visible seam.
Linnea was conceived as a public room rather than a monument. The ground floor dissolves into the harbour promenade; upper galleries are lit by north-facing clerestories calibrated to exhibition requirements. We worked with local craftspeople to develop a board-formed concrete mix that retains the grain of Douglas fir shuttering.
The pavilion hosts rotating contemporary art and a permanent collection of Nordic photography. Acoustic isolation between the performance hall and gallery was achieved through a double-skin concrete assembly — structure and finish in one material language.

Atelier Vey operates as a studio of twelve — architects, model makers, and one in-house landscape architect. We take six commissions at a time. Every project is led by a founding partner from sketch to site visit.
Our work sits between the rigour of Swiss modernism and the warmth of Nordic material culture. We do not style buildings. We resolve them — structure, light, circulation, and the way a hand meets a door handle after rain.
